How to become a sponsor
1. Select a sponsorship category
For complete sponsorship category details, please refer to our downloadable sponsorship package attached with the yellow button at the top of this page. Choose the Platinum, Gold, Silver, or Bronze sponsorship category that best reflects your organization’s desired level of contribution and recognition.
2. Contact the conference team
Email bcnextgenfc@gmail.com with:
- Your organization’s name
- Your preferred sponsorship level
- Your primary contact information
- Your preferred payment method
3. Submit your recognition materials
Sponsors may be asked to provide a high-resolution logo and, where applicable, promotional materials, merchandise, flyers, or business cards by a specified deadline.

We welcome creative sponsorship ideas and in-kind contributions that align with the needs of the conference. Organizations interested in supporting a particular activity, service, speaker, meal, transportation need, or participant expense are encouraged to contact us to discuss a customized arrangement.
Tax Receipts
Under Canada Revenue Agency guidelines, UBC cannot issue charitable tax receipts for sponsorship contributions because sponsors receive promotional recognition or other benefits in return. Corporate sponsors will instead receive a business acknowledgment. An invoice can also be provided where required to complete payment.
Prefer to Make a Donation?
Individuals and organizations may also support the conference through a direct donation rather than a sponsorship. Unlike sponsorships, donations are eligible for a charitable tax receipt issued by the University of British Columbia. Donors will be recognized by name on the conference website and acknowledged during the conference’s opening remarks; organizational logos are not included as part of donation recognition.
Individual donations can be completed through UBC’s online giving system. Please contact the conference team before donating so that the correct instructions and designation information can be provided.
